Originally from Bolivia, Sofía Petts moved to Madrid four years ago driven by a clear ambition to build an international academic and professional profile. She is currently completing her degree in Digital Communication at Universidad CEU San Pablo, where she has developed a strong interest in marketing, digital strategy, and contemporary communication practices.
Her academic journey has been closely linked to hands-on international experience. While pursuing her studies, Sofía completed an international program in the United States, earning a certificate in Hospitality and Tourism. This stage combined academic training at University of California, Riverside with six months of professional experience at Walt Disney World Resort. Balancing work and studies in such a demanding environment pushed her beyond her comfort zone and became a defining experience in her personal and professional growth.
Motivated to deepen her academic focus, she later moved to Los Angeles to complete a second international program. There, she obtained a certificate in Digital Marketing and Communication at University of California, Los Angeles, one of the world’s most prestigious universities. At the same time, she worked as a Gallery Ambassador at the Hammer Museum, further strengthening her communication and public-facing skills.
Now back in Madrid, Sofía is finishing her degree while developing her final project: a startup aimed at tackling youth unemployment through a digital app designed to connect young people with real job opportunities.
