Basically the competition in Hashtags are really high, if you use for instance on Instagram a hashtag that everyone is using it, probably your post wont be seen since there is a lot of competence and only the best one or the top 10 will be the ones with more efficiency or engagement, otherwise, if we use a long tail hashtag with more specific attributes we will get the attention of a qualified traffic, and people interested on our post, and it will be easier to get engagement with the user.
2. Since Google Ads was also for big business so the small one couldn’t compete against the big ones. So basically they made a more personalized advertising so the advertisers will be more precise reaching their target audience, so instead of reaching a massive audience you are personalizing people’s ads. There will be not so many competitors since its an specific product or brand.

The 80/20 its a very powerful tool to get to be more efficient, in the long tail terms, its basically this way, most of the massive products are looking for the 80% of the people, but this will just give you a 20% of valuable visits, but in the other way, with the niche products that represents a 20% of those people since its an specific product you will get around a 80% of valuable visits. This is basically two ways of selling, if you want to get more people but non profitable or you want to get less people but profitable.
